Information technology recruitment

IT recruitment in Brisbane, screened on real technical depth.

Developers, support engineers, infrastructure and project people - recruited for Brisbane employers by a group that runs its own stack, its own help desk and its own build pipeline. Rates from 15%, first candidates within 10 business days, six-month replacement guarantee.

The roles we place, and what we test for.

Every candidate is interviewed by someone currently doing that job. This is what that screen actually looks at.

RoleWhat we screen forTypical, Aug 2026
Software DeveloperWe look at real code and how they reason about it, not a keyword-matched CV.$95,000
Help Desk & SupportTicket triage, escalation judgement and how they talk to a frustrated non-technical user.$65,000-$85,000
Business AnalystRequirements discipline, stakeholder handling, and whether they can write clearly.$125,000
IT Project ManagerDelivery record on real constraints - budget, scope and a business that needed it last quarter.$105,000-$125,000
Systems AdministratorInfrastructure depth, security instincts and evidence of BAU under load.$100,000

On these numbers. Indicative only, and moving. Typical advertised figures as at August 2026, excluding super - Brisbane where the data supports it, national otherwise. The market is shifting and rates are moving constantly, so treat these as a starting point rather than a benchmark: you'll get Ayu's current read on your specific role, from searches running this month, in the first conversation.

This market, read by an employer in it.

IT is the one discipline on this page where Brisbane is no longer a local market. Remote and hybrid work is now the default for developers and analysts, which means a Brisbane employer is competing on salary with Sydney and Melbourne for the same candidate - and increasingly with fully remote roles that never mention a city at all. Pretending a Brisbane discount still applies is the fastest way to lose a shortlist at offer stage.

The practical consequence is that speed and salary honesty matter more here than in any other discipline we recruit. Good developers are not on the market long and are usually fielding more than one conversation. Where a role can genuinely be done from anywhere, we will also show you the offshore numbers, because for some support and BAU roles that is the better answer and pretending otherwise would cost you money.

Screened by people who run systems

LINK runs its own infrastructure, its own internal help desk and builds its own software - the AI models behind the group's CRM and automation are built in-house, not configured from a product. Technical candidates are assessed against that, not against a recruiter's keyword list.

Local or offshore, with the numbers

We run both models. For support and BAU roles in particular, an offshore team member is often the better answer - and we will show you both sets of numbers side by side rather than recommending the model we happen to sell.

Your questions, straight answers.

How much does an IT recruitment agency charge in Brisbane?

The Australian standard is a percentage of first-year salary, typically 15-25%, averaging around 17-18%. LINK's rates start from 15% and move with the role and salary bracket, topping out around 20% - published here rather than held behind a contact form, confirmed in writing before the search starts, and carrying a six-month replacement guarantee.

How do you screen developers if LINK isn't a software company?

Fair question, and the honest answer is that LINK builds software - the AI models running the group's CRM, lead management and automation are built in-house rather than bought. Technical screening is done against that work. Where a role sits outside what we run ourselves, we will say so rather than bluff it, and we will tell you what we cannot assess.

How long does it take to hire a software developer in Brisbane?

You will have first candidates within 10 business days of a signed brief. Time to accepted offer is longer and depends heavily on notice periods, which in IT routinely run four weeks and often more. We will give you an honest time-to-fill for your specific role in the first conversation rather than a number designed to win the engagement.

Do you recruit contract or day-rate IT roles?

Our core work is permanent IT recruitment. For contract or interim cover, talk to us anyway - for many process-driven or BAU roles an offshore team member starts faster and costs dramatically less than a contractor, with a path to permanence. Where a specialist contract house genuinely serves you better, we will tell you.

Can you recruit IT roles outside Brisbane?

Yes. IT is a national, remote-first market and we run searches Australia-wide from Fortitude Valley. For roles that can be performed from anywhere, we will also price the offshore option so you can see both.

We also recruit across these disciplines.
