LINK Group
Client Relationship Manager, the whole LINK group.
A new role, and the first of its kind here. You are the single person a LINK client knows - the one who welcomes them in, understands what they are actually trying to do, and makes sure the nine businesses in the group are working for them rather than sitting there unused. Part welcome, part listening, part joining the dots. Fortitude Valley, base plus incentives.

- Type
- Full time
- Location
- Fortitude Valley, Brisbane

Base salary, plus incentives tied to client health, retention and referrals across the group. Final package confirmed at offer.
What this job actually is.
LINK is nine businesses in one building - accounting, bookkeeping, financial advice, lending, property, marketing, recruitment, coworking and rescue. A client usually arrives needing one of them. The problem we are solving with this role is that most of them never find out about the other eight.
This is not a sales job with a friendlier title. It is a nurturing role, and it is new to the organisation. Your job is to be the person the client knows by name: you bring them in properly, you stay in contact, you actually listen to what is going on in their business, and you make sure they are getting what they need from us.
Some of that means solving problems - a question no one has answered, a handover that stalled, a service that is not landing. Some of it means noticing that a client who came for bookkeeping is buying a second premises and has never spoken to our lending team. Both halves matter, and the first one is what makes the second one work.
Because it is a new role, you will have real say in how it is built. There is no incumbent's shadow and no script - there is a clear intention, senior support, and the expectation that you will shape the rest.
Day to day, and what we need.
What you'll do
- Onboard new clients across the group and make the first ninety days genuinely good
- Be the named contact clients come back to - the person who knows their business
- Run regular check-ins that are about them, not about us
- Hear problems early and drive them to resolution with the right team inside LINK
- Understand each client's goals well enough to see which parts of the group would actually help
- Make warm, well-judged introductions between clients and other LINK businesses
- Track client health and retention, and tell us honestly when something is going wrong
- Build the playbook for how this role works, because you are the first person in it
What we need
- Real experience owning client or customer relationships in a professional services, agency or B2B setting
- Genuinely good at listening - the role fails without it
- Confident dealing with business owners as a peer
- Organised enough to keep dozens of relationships warm without dropping any
Nice to have
- Exposure to accounting, financial services, lending or marketing
- Experience building a role or process from scratch
- CRM discipline
- A track record of clients following you because they trust you
Not a perfect match? Apply anyway. The “nice to have” list is genuinely optional, and we would rather meet someone good than tick every box.
Why this role, at LINK.
You will not be selling something you do not believe in
Every introduction you make is to another team in your own building whose work you can see. If a client is not right for a service, you say so - the role is measured on client health and retention, not just on referrals made.
It is a genuinely new role, with real scope
This has not existed at LINK before. The intention is clear and the support is there, but how it works day to day is yours to build. That is unusual and it is the best part of the job.
Relationship-first, with incentives that follow
Base plus incentives tied to client health, retention and referrals across the group. Relationship-first is not a euphemism here - the incentive structure is built to reward clients staying and thriving, not just being passed along.
Nine businesses is a big canvas
Accounting, bookkeeping, wealth, lending, property, marketing, recruitment, coworking and rescue. You will learn more about how businesses actually work in a year here than in five somewhere narrower.
Before you apply.
Is this a sales role?
No, and we would rather say that plainly. It is relationship-first: your job is to understand clients, help them, and make sure LINK is delivering for them. Introductions to other parts of the group follow from that, and there are incentives attached, but the measure is whether clients stay and thrive.
Do I need an accounting background?
No. You need to be genuinely good with people and quick to understand a business. The technical answers sit with nine teams of specialists - your job is knowing which one to bring in, not being all of them.
Who would I report to?
The directors. Because the role spans the whole group rather than one business, it sits at group level - which is also why you will have the access you need to actually get things moving.
What does success look like in the first year?
Clients know your name and call you first. Problems get caught early instead of at renewal. And clients who arrived for one service are using more of the group because it genuinely helps them - not because they were pushed.
Is it really a new role?
Yes. Nobody has done this job at LINK before. You will have a clear brief and senior backing, and you will be writing how it works.
